Violin Instruction for Children
Private Instruction: Private violin instruction for children ages 3 and older (2 year olds accepted for instruction after consultation with and by permission of Director). Parent participation in lessons and practice is mandatory for children under age 12. Parents take notes in lessons and practice with their children each day at home. Lessons meet one day per week for 30 or 45 minutes depending on student's age and level.
Group Class: Each child taking private lessons should plan to attend group class. These classes meet weekly on Friday afternoons. Group lessons reinforce what children learn in lessons, motivate children and parents by creating a peer group and introduce students to new ensemble and performance skills. Children who attend group classes regularly are eligible to participate in group performance opportunities.
Annual tuition for violin instruction is $1308 (for 30-minute lessons), or $1962 (for 45-minute lessons). The cost of group classes, parent discussions, group concerts, and recitals is included. There is a one-time $50 registration fee for new families. Financial Aid may be available. To apply, please request a Financial Aid form from suzukiacademy at yahoo.com. For students taking instruction outside of the Suzuki Academy, tuition for group classes only is $400 for the year.

This series is required for new parents and is free to all parents of The Suzuki Academy. Topics include: Lessons, Practice, Suzuki Philosophy, Music Reading and more. This class meets while children are in group classes on Friday afternoons. Please see the Suzuki Academy PTA Bulletin Board (located in the classroom) for a schedule.
